Madam Hidayah is surely a good lecturer for grammar when all of our questions regarding the justification for every Grammar rule can be answered by her. She really focuses on giving the best for the students and I can see it when the students who got low marks for grammar mid-semester tests were given extra class for her to see what is the topic that those students didn't understand. She was really helpful during the consultations for our Grammar Analysis Assessment a few weeks back. She made sure that we won't repeat the same mistakes by explaining to us clearly the structure of sentences for every grammar rule.
Notes
Grammar for me is more to a technical subject where if you do exactly as how the grammar rules told you, then your answers will be correct. This subject doesn't focus on bombastic words or long sentences to be written. The aim here is for you to construct a sentence without grammatical errors. Notes here becomes an important mechanism or canvas for you to transfer what your lecturer says during lessons. Just follow the rules, and you will get high marks for this exam. It is much simpler than any other subjects which is why Grammar becomes my favourite subject on the list.
ODL Experiences
Learning online for this course wasn't as hard as others. I found it is easier to apply the grammar rules in our writing as the topics we learn in the first semester are the basics of grammar instead of the one that can be much more complicated later in the second semester.
